Customer Feedback
'The technical wizardry of Andy at APG Video enabled recovery of the music, performances and interviews from many 60 year old reel-to-reel tapes of Manchester-born songwriter Ross Parker (1914 - 1974), whose best-known hits are "We'll meet again" and "There'll always be an England".
These old tapes were recorded on an American 1950s tape deck, long since obsolete, and the material on the tapes had been considered irrecoverable.
Ross Parker was a successful songwriter, with many hits from the 1930s to the 1970s. He wrote for Jack Hylton, band leader and impresario, and the Crazy Gang for many years and also for shows in Paris, London and New York. His career included recording an LP of his piano playing, and comedy-acting on the stage in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
His family are very grateful to Andy as they are now able to relive their memories of the many times Ross Parker played, sang and entertained at the piano.'
